Ho provato ad accostarle ad un pendente in rame che avevo ritagliato a forma di goccia paisley (o disegno caschemire) e texturizzato e patinato tempo fa in un colore casualmente simile a quello delle perle a lume. E poi tutto è avvenuto da se giocando sull'alternanza di un verde chiaro con il turchese. Il risultato mi ha soddisfatto e mi ha fatto venire in mente un giardino orientale al crepuscolo quando il cielo assume quel colore indescrivibilmente blu chiaro.
E a questo punto non posso che presentare Kathryn , l'artista che ama ricreare l'emozione dei fiori nelle perle a lume.
Kathryn ha una storia avventurosa perché è nata in Scozia, si è trasferita in Germania a un anno, dove la passione per le perline era già riconoscibile ai tempi dell'asilo. Tre anni più tardi la famiglia si stabilì in Francia dove tuttora vive Kathryn.
Da questo incredibile crogiolo di culture la nostra artista ha preso il meglio della vecchia Europa.
L'amore per gli animali e la natura certamente arriva dalla Scozia, la precisione e la serietà nel lavoro dalla Germania, l'amore per le cose belle e raffinate dalla Francia.
Nell'età dell'adolescenza dalle perline Kathryn è passata alle perle di vetro e da allora non si è più fermata. Pur lavorando nel settore della programmazione dei computer ogni minuto libero è dedicato alla creazione delle perle a lume . Ama anche però realizzare gioielli in argento con perle di vetro e gemme. Le sue aspirazioni non sono poche: proseguire la creazione di perle a lume floreali tridimensionali, vendere le sue crazioni nei negozi più esclusivi ed eleganti ed essere "un maestro vetraio" che insegna l'arte delle perle a lume.

So I ordered some lampworks in various dimensions in a special turquoise /blue colour.
For many months I have waited the right idea to give them a special frame.
I have tried to put them near a copper pendant that
I had cut in a paisly drop shape and texturized and patinated times ago
in a colour ,by chance ,very similar to the lampwork beads. And after
having combined them, all came by itself, playing alternating a light
green with turquoise. I have been satisfied with the result which
made me think of an oriental garden in evening time when the sky is in a
special light blue colour.
Katryn has a very special story.
Born in Scotland in 1990, Kathryn moved to Germany at the age of one, where her love of beads began in Kindergarten. Three years later, the growing family settled in France.
From this unique mix of cultures, our artist has received old Europe best qualities.
The love for animals and nature surely arrives from Scotland, the reliability and accuracy in working could come from Germany...and the passion for beauty and refinement.... from France. The French countryside has always been inspirational to Kathryn for her creations, passing from simple bead stringing, to complex woven seed bead designs. Her interest in lampworking ignited at the age of fourteen and continues today.
Whilst working full-time in a computer programming job in Paris, every minute making beads is precious!
Kathryn now specialises in creating encased glass beads with three dimensional designs, such as florals and other nature-inspired elements. As well as working with glass, she loves making jewellery with sterling silver, gemstones and her glass beads. Her dream is to sell her creations in classy galleries and shops as well as teaching her lampworking techniques in France and abroad!"
